WE ARE ON RECORD WITH THE OPINION THAT MOST OF THE CATASTROPHIC MELTING OF THE ARCTIC ICE IS DRIVEN BY 400/1000 YEAR HIGH IN SOLAR ACTIVITY.

WILLIE SOON (2005) DEMONSTRATES THAT ALL OF THE SAT (surface air temperature) IN THE ARCTIC FOR THE LAST 130 YEARS CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO VARIATIONS IN THE 15 AND 40 YEAR SOLAR CYCLES.

HE GOES FURTHER AND CONCLUDES THAT THE INCREASING CO2 IN THE ATMOSPHERE IS NOT A FACTOR.

THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIS STUDY ARE IMMENSE. NAMELY THE CO2 GREENHOSE GAS CLIMATE CHANGE DIASTER MAY BE ONLY ANOTHER Y2K.

THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR THE WORLD SHOULD DESIST FROM TRYING TO MANAGE CLIMATE AND GET ON WITH THE TASK OF CLEANING UP POLLUTION AND KILLER SMOGS.

VERY BAD NEWS --- This chart summarizes Al Gore's view of the world. Namely carbon dioxide is at the highest level in a million years. The source is the fumes from fossil fuels. This is driving Climate Change if it is not pulled in we will trigger Catastrophic Climate change.

A CONTARY VIEW --- Over the eons the radiation of the sun drives the climate of the earth. When the temperature rises the biosphere expands and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases. Temperature drives carbon dioxide. Not the other way around.

A second reality well documented in the literature is that the greenhouse effect of carbon dioxide is relatively minor.

Finally early birds and mammaals lived in a world where carbon dioxide was five times higher. We will survive at much higher than to-day. Carbon dioxide is the the benign food of plant life.

REALLY BAD NEWS. The carbon dioxide trend in the above chart is rightly disturbing but we see this more of and indicator of much worse damage all through the environment of the earth. e.g. Methane is increasing far faster and is much more worrisome than CO2. In addition we have a whole family of man-made poisons such as aerosols and the various components of killer smog.

Similaar charts can be made of the destruction of the species, and with a stretch of the imagination one could include the price of oil or even the rise in the U.S.
trade balance.

IN SUMMARY THERE ARE DOZENS OF WAYS WE ARE DISTROYING OUR ENVIRONMENT. CARBON DIOXIDE
IS ONLY ONE OF MANY.

KILLER SMOGS --- Kills More People than Automobiles!

Most of the great urban centers of the world are inflicted with smog.

These are made up of the pollution from the high temperature combustion of fossil fuel and are composed of particulates, complex aerosols, ground level ozone and carbon monoxide to name only a few.

These killer smogs kill more people than our automobiles.

We believe that we should make the reduction of these poisons a high priority.

We have done so in the past. LONDON 1950's killer fogs. --- Pittsburg in the 1960's
the fumes from making steel -- DENVER in the 1970's wood burning fumes from fireplaces.
and now in NEW DELHI as diesel buses are banned.

We believe our environmental capital would be best focused here rather than chasing the theorical benifits of curbing carbon dioxide.
