The glaciers of the world have been melting back since the end of the ice age.

Gore presents overwhelming evidence that since 1970 this has been speeding up. Ocean temperatures are rising and weather is getting much more turbulent.

OUR MAJOR DISAGREEMENT WITH GORE IS ON THE SCIENCE. HE STATES THAT CARBON DIOXIDE DRIVES TEMPERATURE. IF THIS IS SO, THE MAJOR DRIVE OF THE HUMAN RACE SHOULD BE TO SHUT DOWN ALL COAL PLANTS WHICH ARE BY FAR THE BIGGEST EMITTERS IN THE WORLD.

OUR VIEW IS THAT TEMPERATURE DRIVES CARBON DIOXIDE. CARBON DIOXIDE IS MORE OF AN INDICATOR OF HEATING THAN A DRIVER.FURTHER IT IS THE FOOD OF LIFE AND THAT WE ARE ABLE TO TOLERATE DOUBLING OR MORE.

WE SEE THE DRIVERS OF WARMING TO INCLUDE ALL OF THE GREEN HOUSE GASES WHICH ARE IN THEMSELVES POISONS.PLUS THERE ARE MANY OTHER DRIVERS SUCH AS URBAN SPRAWL, AIR CONDITIONING, CUTTING DOWN FORESTS AND ALWAYS INPUTS FROM THE SUN WHICH ARE BEYOND THE CONTROL OF MAN..

In summary it has taken four centuries to drive the heating it will take decades to restrain it.
